What we are looking for in a model:
The NC4K staff is excited for our 5th annual fashion show! Our models are the most important element of the fashion show. We need dedicated individuals that want to make a magical difference in our community. This year is even more important than ever to raise more awareness in a fun and fashionable way like never before. The 2011 fashion show is in memory of Sam Bish, Violet Baier, Faith Pruden that both lost their lives to cancer this past year. We need our models to help us celebrate Sam, Violet’s and Faith’s lives. Each scene in the fashion show is going to be creative and entertaining to help showcase all the different decades in an exciting way! Being a NC4K model is filled with fun, but there is more than the catwalk. Our models are hardworking volunteers that help promote, create, prefect the fashion show all throughout the summer.   

We need models to meet the following criteria’s in order to be considered:
*All pediatric cancer families will automatically have a modeling position*

• Be willing to sing, do simple dance steps, or walk down the runway in front of thousands of people.
• Be willing to seek $50 clothing sponsor to help cover model clothing cost in order for each model to be able to keep their outfit.
• Will need to sell at least 10 tickets to the fashion show, four of which will be discounted.
• Attend all mandatory summer events; vacations, family emergencies, sporting events, and other case by case situations are exemptions and will need to provide a written notice at least 2 weeks in advance in order to be approved.
• Work well within teams to help brainstorm and create their scene.
•  Help promote the fashion show throughout the summer.
• Be open to NC4K’s fashion show stylist team to help pick out outfits to help reflect each decade.
• Above all else we need each model to understand why we are all doing this and how important it is to be a team player so we can beat cancer!

Benefits of being a NC4K model:

There are so many rewarding benefits of being a model in our fashion show and we are even adding a new level of awesomeness! Throughout the summer there will be all different fun ways to gain points in addition to all the mandatory events. Each model’s points will be logged and at the last fashion show rehearsal the night before the show each model will be given a certain amount of raffle tickets based on how many points they earned. There will be tons of prizes set up at rehearsal exclusively for our models. All models will be able to put raffle tickets into the prizes that appeal to them! The more points you earn the more chances you have to win!

In addition to all the fun prizes of being a model, other benefits include:

• Helping NC4K grow and create more awareness
• Helping us create smiles for kids and teens battling cancer
• All hours spent on anything NC4K related can be used for community service hours
• Meeting new people and creating new friendships
• Discounted tickets to the fashion show
• Being able to help pick out and wear a fun outfit
